Matt. 28:19-20 — “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Chaplain Paul Cole with Bill Clark at the Harford County Detention Center.

These verses tell us we are to go and give the Gospel and then disciple others. A longtime member of CBMC, Bill Clark, takes this command of Jesus Christ very seriously. Bill has been coming into the Harford County Detention Center in Bel Air, MD for several years and met an inmate by the name of Don. Since Don has been at the Detention Center, he has committed his life to Christ and then asked for a mentor, who turned out to be Bill Clark. Bill has mentored and discipled Don taking him through the entire CBMC Operation Timothy course.

Bill Clark started out with one-on-one soul winning and discipleship, but it did not stop there. It has multiplied. While Bill is still Don’s mentor, Don is now using Operation Timothy to share the Gospel and disciple others himself. The other inmates Don has been working with have in turn began working with others! This follows the New Testament model in the book of Acts where the church began to spread by addition which became  multiplication. This is the model to spread the body of Christ to “the uttermost part of the earth”  To God be the Glory!
