Many of our CBMC teams in Maryland are earnestly praying for renewal and flourishing for their communities and the business sector. CBMC network members also helped to organize other National Day of Prayer events in Annapolis and in Montgomery County.

CBMC was invited to pray for the business sector at the Baltimore County event in Towson at Patriot Plaza. The prayers were led by Deputy Secretary of State Luis Borunda, Christina James from 95.1 SHINE-FM, Bishop Nunez a leader in the multicultural prayer movement in Baltimore, and many more local prayer leaders. Chuck Whitmore participated on behalf of CBMC.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
