Mark Thayer, Field Partner

Mark Thayer is a seasoned business and ministry leader with a lifelong passion for helping others grow in faith, leadership, and purpose. For more than 25 years, he has experienced and shared the transforming power of Jesus Christ in both his personal and professional life.

Currently, Mark serves as a Field Partner with CBMC (Christian Business Men’s Connection)—a ministry equipping men in the marketplace to live out their faith at home, in the community, and at work. In this role, he supports CBMC’s Peer Advisory Group initiatives, creating environments where Christian business owners, senior executives, and young professionals strengthen their leadership, deepen their faith, and expand their impact in the workplace.

Mark’s professional background spans multiple sectors, including a 20-year career with the American Red Cross, where he advanced from local program leadership in Baltimore to Regional Manager at the organization’s Eastern Operations Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. He later transitioned into the private sector, leading initiatives in communications systems sales, financial services, marketing, and business development consulting.

Beyond his work with CBMC, Mark serves as Director of Discipleship and Member Care at Perry Hall Baptist Church, where he helps individuals and families grow in spiritual maturity and meaningful community.

Mark and his wife, Jenny, have been married for 50 years and have made their home in Glen Arm, Maryland, for more than two decades. They delight in their three children and seven grandchildren and treasure every opportunity to invest in the next generation.
